Don Quijote | Palty Sparkling Blonde Bleach Review

Hi guys I'm Back and already Blonde! It's been ages since my last post, and yes I know I did  promised to be more diligent when it comes to blogging but somehow I've been busy with work and stuff and so anyway  about 2 months during my Hawaiian Vacation. I went to my favorite Japanese Grocery store  "Don Quijote" which is located just a few blocks from Ala Moana Center. This place is Heaven for those who loves Japanese Products they have food to Beauty Care and even electronics.

My eyes literally sparkled  while walking at the aisle full of Japanese Beauty Products. From Facial Wash to Make-up and Hair Dye!!! Oh how I wish they had a store like this in the Philippines!

I even saw a post-ad of Matsu Jun!!

I ended up buying Palty Sparkling Blonde to bleach my hair, I was hesitant at first because almost all reviews that I read said that their hair ended up too orangey and dried-up damaged hair. I took the risk and bought it.

So the next day I immediately bleached my Hair with 2 boxes of Palty Sparkling Bleach
(Note: If your hair is Medium to Long I suggest to get 2 boxes)
(Bleach Powder, Comb Applicator, Developer, Coloring Agent , Clear Plastic Gloves, Tsubaki Oil (Leave-on Treatment), Hair Cap and Instruction)

I was Indeed Lucky to have English Instruction included, I heard that most boxes only have it in Japanese. So I'll just write a brief a instruction on how to mix the bleach:

Step 1
Mix the Bleach Powder with the Developer. Shake for 30 seconds (60-80 times) in an Up and Down motion. You will notice it will turn into a blue-violet tone.

Step 2
Next is Squeeze you Coloring Agent Paste in to the developer and Shake again for 30 seconds (60-80 times) in an Up and Down motion.

Step 3
Replace the Cap with the Comb Applicator and Now It's ready for apply!!! ^___^
***  note: Remember not to let it touch to you're scalp!!! Burning sensation and allergic reaction will occur.

Step 4
Leave it for 15-30min max then Rinse Hair.

For my hair, I left the bleach for 25 mins so that not to damaged it much.

RESULTS!!!!!!!

Before
Dyed my hair few months ago but my roots are already showing up.

After:
I already expected an orangey result so I was not shocked nor disappointed

Here's a clearer shot:

In the end I LOVED the RESULTS though I did dyed it with a less vibrant colour right after 2 weeks which I would post this coming weekend... I have to say IT DID NOT dried up my hair or maybe because I kept using hair mask and Conditioner Treatments in advance prior to bleaching and even after!

I would totally use this product again to touch up my roots! :) Lucky for me just a week ago I saw Palty readily available at a local Department store here in Manila! Lucky for me ^___^~

FANCL HTC Collagen Review

Hey guys I know It's been a while since my last update, been really busy lately with a job related work. So I'm really sorry for the delay, anyways here my long overdue comparison review about "FANCL HTC Collagen" VS "Meiji Beaute White Amino Collagen"

below is chart I made to show the comparison between the two products.

As you can see "FANCL HTC Collagen" makes the skin Rosy Red rather than making it glow and vibrant. The appearance of this collagen is made tablet form compared to the glossy white gel capsule of Meiji that I prefer because in my opinion its easier to swallow plus it only requires 4 intakes per day compared to FANCL collagen that has a dosage of 6 tablets a day .

I think what is good about this product though is that one package is good for 30days and it's a bit more cheaper. I also like how this products is scentless compared to Meijis which smells like fish and rotten egg, maybe because FANCL Collagen is made from chicken compared to Meijis Amino Collagen which is made from Fish.

Result wise both are good in enhancing the skins complexion. Though for me I would go back to using  Meiji Beaute White Amino Collagen since it gave my skin a very healthy white glow which I love so much plus it has fast more effective results in the aspect of stopping pimple and acne breakouts.

Well that's it for now hope my review helps! If you guys have any questions feel free to ask by leaving a comment! ^_^ till next time

PS
~ I'll try to update my blog as often as I could

Study Time (勉強の時間)

Hi everyone! Finally made up my mind to continue learning Nihongo. Almost 2 years ago I decided to temporarily stop studying Nihongo so that I can concentrate on my chosen career.

So today I went back to basic since I already forgotten most of what I have learned back then. My grammar, vocabs and kanjis gotten pretty rusty (XoX) !! Lucky for me I kept my books and worksheets intact.

For starters I practiced writing the basic alphabets Katakana and Hiragana even though I still remember them. My  handwriting has gone from ok to bad! After practicing my writing skills I read a few paragraphs to see if I can still read at the same speed as before. Well I must say my reading skills was better that I expected it to be. I stopped there for today since I had an appointment schedule in the afternoon.

Hopefully If things go well I hope that I can finish reviewing Elem 1-2 before year 2013 starts! wish me luck! Really need it especially I'd be re-memorizing a lot of KANJIS *(T__T) huhuhu just thinking about it makes my head hurt* oh well for the love of Japanese Culture I must overcome this obstacle.

Rurouni Kenshin

Yesterday I finally went to see Rurouni Kenshin live-action. I've been dying to see this movie in cinema since it has been announced that it would be shown on screen here at the Philippines.

Rurounin Kenshin Poster at MOA

Electronic Ticket

Years ago I was really hoping that they would make this into a live-action movie since it's one of my favorite childhood anime, and back then I even hoped that Takizawa Hideaki would portray the role of Kenshin since he reminds me of Kenshin while watching Yoshitsune and Satomi Hakkenden. I mean obviously there's a resemblance, they're both short and have the same body figure. So I thought he would fit the role perfectly.

Hideaki Takizawa
(Satomi Hakkenden -- Screen Cap)

(*o*) what a handsome kenshin he would have been

but of course time flies and now his a bit to old to play this role *haha* and it's time to give it to a younger generation. I was really happy that Takeru Sato also one of my favorite Japanese actor portrayed the role. He really did surprised me! He acted the role as if though he was really kenshin! He was perfectly fitted to play the role! *bravo* for that!

Takeru Sato as Himura Kenshin

So there I was watching the movie and was really surprised to see Aoi Yu as Megumi, I was not aware that she was also part of the cast so I was really surprised and happy *lol* I really adore her so much! My fangirl mode was totally ON last night. Though I did keep calm and watch the movie quietly.

I must say this is the BEST live action movie I've watched!! It did not ruin the manga nor the anime version at all! It exceeded my expectations! I did not expect to have a good laugh while watching this but indeed I did! It was really fun and worth watching and if given a chance I would pay to watch it again!

Prettia Hi- Bleach Review

Liese Prettia Hi-Bleach
Review

4 days ago I decided to finally dye my hair with Liese Prettia Hi Bleach. Actually months before ordering this hair product I was torn whether to buy Paltys Sparkling Blonde Bleach but at the end I chose Prettia because I don't want to go overly blonde. My goal is just to lighten my hair a bit which it did.

I ordered my bleach from Japanichi a trusted online seller. A box of Prettia cost PHP 700 but got mine for less because I ordered plenty to get a wholesalers price. Here's my verdict:

Overall Rating: 4.5 Berries

Price wise the price is really worth it even without the discount! Why?? It's because 1 box is enough even for  those who have long hair, compared to Palty which requires me to use 2 boxes. I assure you 1 box of Prettia is more than enough even for those people who have both thick and long hair.

The Smell of this product is also less irritating and does not sting compared to the other brands that I have used.

For the Color It did not actually turned blonde but I already expected that, that's why I chose this Bleach at the first Place because don't intend yet to go totally blonde but maybe next time I will *hahaha*.

and lastly for the Texture I must say I love the end results! It did not dry up my hair!! Actually It somehow became more softer than before!!! Though I still deep conditioned my hair before and after I used this product just for precaution.

Overall I love this product it never fails to make me love it even more! This is actually my second time using it and surely It won't be the last! ^_^ There are still a lots of color to choose from already bought Platinum Beige for my next hair color can't wait to try it!

1 Box Contains :
☑Gloves
☑After Color Hair Pack (Leave-On Conditioner)
☑Developer & a Pink Pump Nozzle Pump
☑Hair Color (The small bottle)
☑Instruction / Manual in Japanese

Things you Might Need (OPTIONAL)
☐ Cape/ Old shirt/Towel (So not to stain your clothes)
☐ Cotton Balls/Buds/Tissue (For safety precautions)
☐ Oil based lotion
☐ Shower Cap

Ok now lets get started!

First Carefully Read the instruction for those who can't read Japanese here's a easy to follow

I love the gloves, it's more snug fit compared to Paltys

Now time to mix the Developer and the Color

After that close it with the safety cap and gently turn it upside down 5 times, remember NOT TO SHAKE the bottle! It would bubble and you'll find it difficult to pump and apply.

After turning it upside down 5 times replace the cap with the pink nozzle pump

Now It's ready for application!
Just slight Squeeze the bottle the voila! Let the fun Begin!!

*Unfortunately I was not able to take pictures during the application process
I was afraid to stain my phone case sorry ^^;;*

and so after washing the hair apply the After Color Pack for a smoother and silkier hair.

Here's the BEFORE:
*My Honey Brown color became reddish toned*

and  AFTER 30 minutes of leaving the Bleach on my hair
 *drum roll please*

It turned out slightly lighter than before more like of a Golden Brown Color, I guess I should have left it 10 mins more for better result.
On the other hand the color turned out even *phew*

Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House

Today I finally got to try the Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House. They mainly offer a fusion of both Japanese and Western Pasta. They are located at the 2nd Level of Greenbelt 3. I've wanted to try this pasta house since I heard a lot of good feed backs from my friends here and abroad.

Outside the shop there’s a display window just like a typical Japanese Restaurant have that samples the various dishes that they cater.

Here's a Closer Shot

My friends and I ordered 3 dishes (Japanese style Pizza Margherita, Vongole Bianco, and Napolitean Pasta). Since the serving was big we decided to share it among ourselves. Unfortunately we were so hungry that we only remembered to take pictures of the dishes minutes after we have started eating.

See what I mean?
If you noticed Chopsticks are used instead of fork

  Napolitean Pasta
It is served with egg on top of the Pasta
(^.^;;) though we already mixed it in.

Our half eaten Pizza

Fortunately I got to take a picture of
"Vongole Bianco"  before spltting it into 3 servings.

The food was great, though the Napolitean was rather too sweet for my liking. Each order of pasta has a complimentary miso soup included. The restaurant service itself quite good, they have a very accommodating and friendly staffs. The price is reasonable my only comment is that there’s no house tea offered in this restaurant unlike other Japanese Restaurant that I have been to but over all I would love to go eat here again next time.
