LOTD || Interior Designers Oath

Today is like no other, went to Manila Hotel for the Interior Designers Oath Taking and I’m proud to say that today I’m officially a Licensed Interior Designer! All my hard work, sacrifices and patience finally paid off. I missed a lot of things just to get here, like not being able to go to Big Bang and Maroon 5 Concert, not seeing Zac Efron, cancelling my Bangkok Trip and not having enough sleep for months which resulted to hair lost and acnes.

PRC License given at the Event

We were required to wear a board room chic outfit for this glorious event so I ended up wearing my Polka-dotted dress with my Polka-dotted Blazer. It may sound that I went overboard with the polka dot pattern but I think it ended up looking nice and simple and just right for the occasion. I also wore earrings that matched my bag and dress, paired my whole look with silver flat shoes.

At the event itself I felt a bit of a lone wolf at first. Luckily I got to transfer table to where some schoolmates of mine who also passed the examination are seated, although they were from different batches and to which I don’t usually talk yo but still at least I got to seat with familiar people, which made me a bit more comfortable.

Where I'm Seated ( I must say this is the most neglected table
the coffee was served late, even my food was served 20 mins
before the event was finished!!!)

Snack ... was served COLD!! ( X__X)

Good thing they had this freebie ......
..... Oh wait, it's not a freebie LoL, it's a Gift from mom and dad. I wonder what's inside??
mmmmmm...

A box of yummy chocolates!! ^__^ just what I needed, was so hungry during the whole event, the snack served was cold so I ended up not eating half of it.

The event lasted for 4 hrs, although it was a bit boring  but still it was an experience I won't ever forget!

Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House

Today I finally got to try the Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House. They mainly offer a fusion of both Japanese and Western Pasta. They are located at the 2nd Level of Greenbelt 3. I've wanted to try this pasta house since I heard a lot of good feed backs from my friends here and abroad.

Outside the shop there’s a display window just like a typical Japanese Restaurant have that samples the various dishes that they cater.

Here's a Closer Shot

My friends and I ordered 3 dishes (Japanese style Pizza Margherita, Vongole Bianco, and Napolitean Pasta). Since the serving was big we decided to share it among ourselves. Unfortunately we were so hungry that we only remembered to take pictures of the dishes minutes after we have started eating.

See what I mean?
If you noticed Chopsticks are used instead of fork

  Napolitean Pasta
It is served with egg on top of the Pasta
(^.^;;) though we already mixed it in.

Our half eaten Pizza

Fortunately I got to take a picture of
"Vongole Bianco"  before spltting it into 3 servings.

The food was great, though the Napolitean was rather too sweet for my liking. Each order of pasta has a complimentary miso soup included. The restaurant service itself quite good, they have a very accommodating and friendly staffs. The price is reasonable my only comment is that there’s no house tea offered in this restaurant unlike other Japanese Restaurant that I have been to but over all I would love to go eat here again next time.

Shopping/ LOTD

Early today I was set to go to an anniversary celebration. The night before I already had in mind what to wear in the said event, all I need was to get it from my closet and *poof* I’m good to go. So hours before the event I thought of having a dress rehearsal and lucky I decided to do so, cause to my surprise the dress that I was planning to wear somehow became tight!! Gaaaaahh I can’t close the back zipper!!! Well I did manage to close it but with force still the problem was that I can’t breathe when the zipper is closed (XoX). Fortunately there was still time to look and buy an outfit.

So I went to the mall and wasted no time looking for a dress to wear. Tried going to Zara, F21 and so on…

This is gold dress is from F21.
I can see my tummy popping out! LoL I blame it all to the chocolates!!

was in a hurry to go to the mall that I even forgot to put make up or even just a face powder.
and even worst I forgot my WALLET!!!! so ended up waiting for mom.

Here's another outfit from forever 21

What I love about this outfit is that it hides my tummy lol!!!

but in the end I ended up purchasing a dress at Cache Cache... Had my eye on 3 other dress there but needed to choose only one. Wasn't able to take pictures of those outfit because their fitting room is too dark!! BOO!!

So here's the outfit I wore at today's event

It's a white laced layered hem dress with gold accents (which is not visible in the picture)

Some accessory to finish the look!

Eyelash Galore

For the past 2 days I decided to avoid going to the mall so I ended up spending those days at home sleeping, watching tv, eating, exercising and playing with my 2 adorable baby doggies **I'll introduce them next time** . But this early morning i receive an SMS from my dad who’s was at that time on his way to Vegas, reminding me to go to True Values Opening sale at Glorietta and get some things that he needs, so I was somehow forced to go the mall which I really didn't want to cause I was fighting the urge to spend.

While waiting for the opening sale I stopped by Daiso (Japan Home Center) just to kill time. Somehow I ended up buying 2 Fake eyelashes **gaaaaahh I easily gave up to temptation * and to think I just bought some 3days ago (x__x) …

Here’s the one I bought last Tuesday

So anyways after that went to True Value with my mom and bought the things dad needed and also ended up buying some items that wasn't on the list *lucky for me mom was the one who paid this time lol*

I ended up buying things related to eyelashes *lol*

(Heated Eyelash Curlers, Falsies, Dual Purpose eyelash glue **it can also be used as an double eyelid glue**)

After Shopping me and mom had a mother daughter bonding at a Nail Spa.

Had my nails painted Pink (^,^)

So that's how I spent my day. Can't wait to give those eyelashes a try! Till next time!! ^__^

Clip-On Bangs

Last Thursday I went out with my high school buddies then as we were passing buy at “Landmark” a department store here where I am from. I noticed something new at the hair accessory area. My eyes sparkled when I saw the clip on bangs on the wig section. I was looking for months for a clip-on with a similar hair color as mine **Lucky I got the last 2 that’s almost near my shade**. It’s available at etude but their clip-on bangs is limited to only 4 colors as I remember correctly.

Here’s a photo of the clip-on I bought from landmark: (The color is kind of different from the actual)

The one at the left is the full fringe bangs while the one at the right is the side bangs. I haven’t tried on yet the side bangs because somehow the color is much lighter than my hair, so I’m reserving it when for next time, maybe after bleaching my hair.

I’m really satisfied with this clip-ons especially price wise. It’s a lot cheaper than Etudes. It cost only PHP 99 (2.48 USD) pesos compared to etudes which cost PHP 700 (16.50 USD). My only comment is that it’s quite shiny so it has a tendency to look fake if you have dry hair like mine.

Me without Bangs
(with one of my high school buddy *ggaahh i can see my ugly black roots*)

With bangs

Really enjoyed camwhoring! Somehow even though my hairs a bit dry the bangs blended well with my natural curly hair.

Bitter Sweet

Okay I don’t know whether I’m cursed of just plainly unlucky when it comes to long planned trips!!! This would be the 3rd time that this had happened to me! And hopefully the last.

So here’s the story, earlier this year me and my friends decided to go to Bangkok for an after exam distresser. Everything was already planned, dates, hotel, tours, to buy list and etc. The only this that was uncertain was the date for the Oath Taking for the Newly Licensed Designers, which we expected to be held on the second week of November based on the previous Oath Taking held last year. Unexpectedly things did not go as planned; the exam result was released late, as a result the date of the oath was also moved!!! And yet there I was hoping for miracle that It won’t fall on the date of our flight.

3 days ago I received a letter from the PRC regarding the said event and “Sh** Why am I not surprise!!  The date of the oath will be held on the 25th, my date of arrival back from bangkok was supposed to be on the 26th. There was a sudden moment of silence and heart ache. I knew that I need to cancel my trip even though I want it badly I need to choose what is more important.  A once in a lifetime boring yet fulfilling experience VS a 3 days vacation filled with relaxation and girl bonding which I can go for some other time. The answer was obvious yet hard to accept.

I've been so excited for months and already imagining shopping, food tripping, going for a Thai massages and having a blast with 2 of my closest friend and yet suddenly after months of planning, there I was texting them that I will not be going to BKK with them!!! what a bummer!

Even now I’m still kinda pissed about the turn of events, though I have to look on the brighter side of Life, even though I’m not able to go to Bangkok with them this year at least I've got to attend a special event that I had been praying for this past 2 years. I guess we really can’t have it all. So here I am ending my bitter sweet post.

PS!!

Joey ^__^ if ever your reading this post don't for get to check out the falsies that posted on your wall ok?    **hugs**

Barre3 Experience

Hello there! Haven’t been able to update lately because of fatigue caused by the new workout I tried.

About 2 weeks ago went to Barre3 studio to give it a shot because I heard it strengthens the muscles and bones and even help people like me with scoliosis to have a discipline with proper posture. So I decided to I try out their special offer for beginners which you will pay 1500PHP for 3classes which you should attend within 2weeks upon registration, an hour class cost 700PHP. So the beginners package is really a great deal. At first I did not expect it to be difficult since my body is a bit flexible plus I do stretching and cardio workout almost every day!

The first day caught me by surprise it was FAR DIFFERENT on what I am used to doing, compared to my daily cardio exercise which requires the use of power and strength. Barre3 requires you to use not only power and strength but also grace and stability!

The one hour workout was pretty intense especially for a beginner like me. I made a lot of mistake especially when it comes to maintaining proper posture while doing the said exercise. After my first day I felt a bit shaky but after resting for a bit and having a nice cold bath at home I somehow felt better so I decided to do my daily workout which usually runs for an hour and half.

The next day I could not even get up! My whole body was numb, I forced myself out of the bed! What’s even worse is that it was even painful for me to walk and most of all sit! The pain and numbness lasted for 3days **tsk tsk I shouldn’t have overdone my workout** because of that I did not even want to go back to barre3 but I was oblige to, because I already did pay for 2 more sessions and it was nonrefundable.

Day 2 was much better compared to day 1. I somehow felt it was much more easier to follow though I still had a lot of thing I need to improve on, but I think I’ve done pretty good compared to my first time. The day after day 2 was also better, there was a bit of body aches but not as bad as before. Maybe because I did not overdid the workout as I did before.

So I rested for a day before coming back this morning for my 3rd and final day of the promo. The instructor for today had taught us a much more intense workout compared to day 1 and 2. It was very tiring and extreme but was also FUN at the same time, I started to enjoy barre3 classes and getting used to all the shakes and strains it causes to my body.

After the 3days trial of barre3 I found myself being more aware of my posture and hsving an increase in stamina. I highly recommend this workout for those who aims to have a leaner and stronger body, and also those who wish to strengthen their bones. I plan to continue barre3 regularly and make it a part of my daily routine!

Mary Grace-- Strawberry Short Cake Review

Hello I'm back and just as I promise here's my review regarding the Search for the best Strawberry Shortcake in town!

Dish : Strawberry Shortcake
Rating:  (4 / 5 Berries)
Store: Mary Grace Cafe
Price: Php 1150 / $41.15
Comments:

Okay here's what I think. Taste wise, it was really delicious no doubt  about it! I love the taste of the strawberry inside and outside the cake, it was not too sour and was rather on the sweet side.

Compared to last years cake, this one has a better tasting chiffon base, It's not dry and not too moistly or watery! Just the way I like it. As for the cream filling, it was pretty yummy though not better than last year! ^_^

Now lets talk about Presentation and aesthetics. As a girl I think I'd prefer last years cake because of its cuteness!! I really am a fan of cute things ^o^ *thats one of my weakness* ~~ It looks so much like the ones you would see on Japanese dramas or anime!! You will see it later ,on  the photos I posted below and lastly for the price. It ranges pretty much the same, though New Hatchins cake are a bit smaller in comparison to Mary Grace Cakes.

Comparison Chart:

As you can see the over all, It's a tie between the two *lol* I love the chiffon base of Mary Grace and the Cream filling of New Hatchins maybe if we combine the cons of both cake it would taste perfectly delicious! In conclusion Jipans strawberry Shortcake is still the best I tasted so far.

Now for the Pics:

Mary Grace Strawberry Shortcake
Looks simple right? but trust me taste delicious!

and as Promise here's New Hatchins
Strawberry Shortcake

sssooooooooo Pretty right?? (♥o♥) If only It was less watery, It would have been perfect!

I'll end my post with this yummy pics!

So join me again next time in my quest to find the best Strawberry Shortcake!!!

The search for the best Strawberry Shortcake

Today my quest to search for the best Strawberry Shortcake in town continues. So early this morning I went to the "Mary Grace" to pick up the cake I reserved for my birthday!  It has been my tradition for 3 years now to have Strawberry Shortcake for my birthday, and once again I forgot to have my cake reserved earlier. Just liked what happened last year, lucky for me last year the owner of New Hatchin (a Japanese Grocery) was so kind enough to take my order even though the shop policy is to pre-order the whole cakes 5-7 days ahead. They even put a personalize message on my cake, in Japanese! *soo cute i'll post a picture of it on my next post* though they made me to return to the shop 5 hrs later, because they were still making it and still have to deliver it at the shop... So far my favorite Strawberry Shortcake is still the one I bought for Christmas 5 years ago at Jipan Bakeshop.

Anyways back to the story, I asked my mom to call Mary Grace Cafe early this morning to ask if their Strawberry  Shortcake is still available, luckily they still have 1 whole cake left *phew talk about luck* but sadly they were not able to put a message on it because the order should be 1 day ahead of the pick-update.

So after that we went to church then went straight to the shop to get my cake. While at the shop Mom suddenly got hungry, so  we ended up having lunch their. I must say the interiors of the shop is really pretty, the look was inspired on a traditional Filipino-Spanish Colonial House with a homey ambiance

Isn't It Homey??

What made it even more homey
is the Table itself that displays the messages of the satistfied customers topped with clear glass.

The lantern somehow reminded me of "Harry Potter" *hahaha*

so pretty ^_^

Here's a Picture of my order:

Chicken Salad

Spanish Sardines in Olive Oil Pasta
*yum yum*

OK it's time to end my post, will blog about the cake review on my next post for now here's a sneak peek of  the cake

Rebound alert O__O

Rebound Alert!!!

Lately I've been gaining weight, somehow I just lost control and went back with my old routine which is sleep, watch, eat.

Today was one of those lazy days where I spent the whole day acting like a pig, took short naps, eat and watch old movies all afternoon then luckily I came to my senses and did an hour of workout before it got totally dark. I can't even imagine I gained  10 lbs this past 3 months which is quite alarming for a person like me who experience being overweight for quite some time.

This situation reminds me of a Japanese Drama that I had watched entitled "Rebound!" A former fatty who lost weight and became and employee of a fashion magazine but due to some circumstances she suddenly found herself rebounding and becoming fat again.

I can totally relate to this drama especially her love for pastries! Sweets are really hard to resist XoX!!! Especially with a sweet tooth like mine. But I made up my mind to start my 2 weeks diet plan. Will go back for the mean time with My oatmeal diet together with daily workout plus my own version of the "3S" diet which stands for  NO Sweets, Snacks, Soda (which is quite easy because i gave up on soda for almost 2 years now).

A week ago I was Playing with the Fat Booth and just now I realize that maybe it was already a warning for me to stop over eating *lol*

Some might think I'm over reacting or to being too obsess with how I look but that's now the case I just don't want to go back to how I was. For I not to be judge I decided to put a photo of me before and after. I'm not ashamed of this pic in fact I'm proud that I did something good for myself  ^_^...

here you go: *hides*

*phew* somehow that took a lot courage to share this pic *lol*

Ok wish me luck will start my 2 weeks goal to lose 8-10 lbs max. on Sunday*hahaha* ~

Review on (Dariya) Palty Hair Dye Honey Brown

Hello Everyone! This would be my first product review.

Products: Dariya Palty Hair Dye in Honey Brown
Rating:      (4/5 Berries)
Price: 9-13 USD or  Php600
Where to buy:  I bought mine at Don Quijote Hawaii for $12, I guess you can check out Japanese Groceries near you or online shops like Amazon. For Philippine Buyers I bought my first Palty at Japanichi it's an online shop that sells Japanese Beauty Products.

Review:

2 months ago I redyed my hair with Dariya Palty Hair Dye in  Honey Brown for those of you who's not familiar with this brand its a Japanese Hair Dye which is really easy to use. It has tons of colors to choose from. They have 2 versions of this Hair Dye the Cream Type that comes with a comb applicator and a Foam Type which comes in a cute pink bucket mixer with a brush applicator.

Here's a sample of the colors that the Cream Type Version of Palty offers: (The one boxed in red is Honey Brown)

1 Box contains:

☑ Instruction in Japanese (If you can't read the nihongo, Heres a link for the English Instruction or you can just look at the picture it's easy to understand )
 ☑ Developer & Comb Applicator
 ☑ Gloves
 ☑ Hair Color (In tube)
☑ Leave on Conditioner (Tsubaki Oil)

Things you might need: (Optional)

☐ Old Shirt (You don't wan't you're pretty clothes to get stained :p )
☐ Shower Cap (So that the hair would absorb the color more)
☐ Cotton balls/Buds / Tissue (Just in case things get messy)

Here's the Result! :

BEFORE

Newly Colored  Prettia Marshmallow Brown
(White/Day Light)

After 3 months in Dark Lighting

AFTER
(Left it for about 25 mins don't want it to go too light)

Taken after 2 weeks (Warmwhite / Halogen Light)

After 2 Months (Natural Light) The color Faded

Pros
✓ The Cute Box it comes in with :3
✓ The smell is not that strong unlike american hair dyes
✓ Does not sting the Eyes during application
✓ The color last long
✓ Very Easy to Apply (Haven't tried the foam dye seems like Prettias Foam dye is easier to apply)

Cons
✖ Can be drying to the hair but can easily be fixed with Hair Mask (Well mine is already dry so I don't mind *lol*)
✖ 1 box is not enough for those with long and thick hair. ( I used 2 boxes because my hair is long, It just look shorter because I have a Naturally Curly Hair)
✖ The color at the back of the box which indicates the result is not that accurate so If you want the result to be exactly as the picture, I suggest bleaching your hair first or go for one shade lighter your desired color.
